According to a peer-reviewed study published in the medical journal Psychiatry, one-third of drivers surveyed admitted to engaging in road rage, with the majority of respondents identifying as male. The Department of Transportation released statistics showing that more than 1,300 deaths between 2008 and 2012 were caused by aggressive driving.
