Additionally, if you are the family member of someone who has died due to a work-related condition, the decedent’s workers comp protection will extend to you, and you’ll be entitled to death benefits.

How long can I collect workers comp?

The answer to this question largely depends on the type of injury you’ve endured. Generally speaking, you can obtain workers compensation benefits until you are able to return to work or until you reach the maximum weeks allowable, based on your injuries.

What do I do if my claim was denied?

Before we file your appeal, we’ll try to work with the insurance company to resolve their objections. If we can’t reach a reasonable agreement, we’ll file your appeal with the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents, which will then examine the details of your claim.
